Fifty fu*king dollars!

Well if you haven’t seen factory girl then do your self a favor go watch it immediately. I have a dear friend I need to thank for introducing me to this cult flick. I’m not going to go on and on about it as its been done to death. But it really is an inspiring 60s fashion jolt if you ever just need one.

(Clips taken of Edie/clips taken from the movie with Sienna Miller & Guy Pearce)

The Edie in me

I found this vintage gem in a second hand store in town, and instantly fell in love with it. From the moment I looked at it, I immediately thought of Edie Sedgwick, and I had to have it! I love colour, and the classic 60's fabric that you just can't find today, so I had to share it with you all.

Warrior on paint crack Sass & Bide

Sass & Bide just keep bringing it! The RTW The Winning day resort collection is just full of bright colour, mixed prints and crazy shapes. I cant wait to sport this style peak summer beaming the light.
I know i have old images but they stay true in my heart as i love the collection. I have a Sass & Bide Blunt Arrow dress that i cant wait to share with you all. So stay tuned to catch a look. Peace out

Smells like teen spirt

Pictures taken over a year ago that i came across and jazzed up a little thanks to Picnik.

Load up on guns,
Bring your friends
It's fun to lose and to pretend
She's overboard self assured
Oh no I know, a dirty word.

Hello, hello, hello, hello?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, how low, how low?
Hello, hello, hello.

With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
i feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulato!
An Albino!
A mosquito!
My libido!
Yay! Hey! Yay!

I'm worse at what I do best
And for this gift I feel blessed
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end

Hello, hello, hello, hello?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, how low, how low?
Hello, hello, hello.

With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulato!
An Albino!
A mosquito!
My libido!
Yay! Hey! Yay!

(Solo)

And I forget just why I taste -
Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile
I found it hard, it was hard to find
Oh well, whatever, nevermind

Hello, hello, hello, hello?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, how low, how low?
Hello, hello, hello.

With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mullato!
An albino!
A mosquito!
My libido!

A denial!

I thought this song was appropriate. Peace out x

Got you're lipstick mark still on your coffee cup

Finding my dress was an absolute fluke! I went back to a store I had visited in Stockholm's Gamla Stan(Old Town) 4 years ago, in search of a Pegasus necklace I once owned, but which has since tragically become a victim of the Indian Ocean. Despite my sadness at this lost treasure, I did manage to find a new love, at first glance I was swept away to Tiffany's with a Croissant and Coffee in hand, with images of Audrey in all her glory. At that moment, I knew it was fate and it had to be mine, and the rest, as they say, is history. Another momento from a beautiful city.

Mac-gic
I love Mac as you can witness these are products i used to create this look.

At the sight of this dress, I was overwhelmed as I mentioned before, and in the therapeutic throws of retail passion, I was so eager to take the dress to the counter and make the purchase, I neglected to properly fasten the back of the shorts I was wearing, giving the rest of the shop's customers a little more of an eye-full than they had expected. Luckily for me, a kind tourist had the grace to let me know. So let that be a lesson to you all, when in the grips of retail frenzy, take a moment to poise, and in this case fasten, to make your purchase a little less revealing than mine was.
Peace out.

Swedish summer times

So its been a really long time since i had the chance to really sit down and get the time to blog. Over the summer Ive had some really big changes in my life. In the last three months of my life Ive gotten married to my best friend and Ive moved across the world. Me and my husband were living in Western Australia for the past 6 years. But we got the chance of a life time to move to Sweden so we did. I mean who wouldn't? Well most people think we are mad going from HOT HOT summers to ICE COLD SNOWY winters. To tell the truth its the best thing Ive ever done. Its such a beautiful, beckoning, captivating country to be in, i really could go on. When we got here it was the start of summer. Such a great start we had 24hours of daylight, then 23hours, 22hours so on and so on. At the moment it starts getting dark at 10pm then the sun starts to rise 3am. We are living in a Swedish 70's summer house in the middle of the forest its so quirky.

So im really excited to get back into this as i have no excuse! Ive recently been to Stockholm, its an amazing city if you ever get the chance to visit, then do it! There is so much history and of course so much shopping. If you are a fan of H&M there's at least 6 in the city center, its quite overwhelming. Not to forget ZARA, Topshop and plenty more. Also if there's any vegans out there, as my husband is, its a great place to get some yummie vegan food. Yesterday i got to thinking on what i wanted to blog, i've been reading Vouge UK September edition and i came across a Fendi ad that gave me the idea for this photograph.
The image is just so atmospheric with a calm, neutral background surrounding a model, who is wearing nothing but a sheep-skin coat and burgandy tights. Her shoes match the tights apart from a bright yellow heel that creates a great contrast with the calmer tones of her surroundings. So i may have gone over board with the bright colours but i think they compliment my setting.

Peace out x

Cat Hero Hammill

Ok so this is something i really want to share with the world. My Fave Jewellery designer Cat Hammill is putting out the most beautiful individual Jewels i’ve seen, and which i can relate too. As they drip in Peace symbols & quirky charms. I was Lucky enough to receive a gold peace symbol necklace for my birthday. But unfortunately it discolored due to my skin type or fault. So i took it back to David Jones where the sale assistant wasn’t much help. I was pretty much told there was nothing they could do. They took down my name and number and within 10 minutes i received a call. It was Cat Hammill herself! I was star struck, and she was so pleasant and helpful. She explained to me that she was going to send me out a sliver necklace to see if the same thing would happen again. I was so over the Moon that she was sending a replacement but to my delight she sent me a Silver necklace, as promised, but also my gold necklace and 3 silver bracelets. If that’s not great customer service, i don’t know what is. I was so impressed because she really went out of her way, i was touched. So yeah Thank you Cat Hammill!!

I have like 10 pieces on my Christmas list

Check out her stuff, it’s so pretty http://www.cathammill.com.au/.

Peace out Pony & the seal x

Pigeon Pride!

I blew my budget out a bit this week, but sometimes there is something you just can't live without!
I recently stepped into Pigeonhole Vintage in the city under strict rules not to buy anything. However, like I said, there was no way I'd be able to continue living without these beasts!
The whole experience was exactly as it should be, the sales assistant was very pleasant and helpful, and recommended these shorts, thankfully!
These vintage style shorts were made to be married to my pair of 50's espadrilles, and they make a very cute couple, perfect for a spring picnic.

Pony & the Seal wants to thank Pigeonhole for their very delightful existence, and I urge everyone to go and check out their very cool blog and website.

Stay classy planet earth!
Peace out.

p.s. Pony & the Seal will be back soon with their first VM gig! Stay tuned.

What's the time Mr Wolf?

This was just a quick one I wanted to share with you fine people today.
A bit of old school flavour and charm, thanks to an awesome gift I recently received.
Pocket watches are back baby!
Enjoy!
With love, peace out.

Seal & The City

Well what can I say my peeps, bargains just seem to fall in my lap sometimes, and coming across this sassy little purple number was no different. I picked it up for a cool $30, and had a distinct feeling that I'd seen the style before. And what do you know? It's a dead give away to the Halston number Sarah J Parker sports in Sex & The City 2, and it is hot! But I can't help but feel like they got ripped off!! This was a nice and cheap D.I.Y. look that you can do yourself, you'll find plenty of these non-designer pieces for reasonable prices if you just have a good look around. The fun is always in the hunt my people, so get out there and start digging. So this is my D.I.Y. Sarah J Parker inspired look. I gave it a bit of Pony & the Seal edge with a peace sign and another over-sized ring to finish it all off. My shoes were a lovely birthday gift from a good friend of mine at Staccato, I love them dearly and I think they go very well with this outfit, and are a match made in heaven with my Mimco clutch by it's side.
All my people, embark on a hunt for fashion bargains today, and get the look you want in no time.
Peace out.

Desperately Seeking Seal

The 80's produced a lot of awesome things, music, movies, and fashion. All of which combine perfectly in Desperately Seeking Susan, starring Madonna in her best days, in my opinion anyway. The fashion is amazing, the music is unbeatable, so naturally, I was inspired for this look. With this one, I decided to mix it up a bit, and go a bit crazy with the print and fabric combinations to capture that 80's rebellion and boldness. This included a pair of borrowed football socks, hows that for bold huh! This look felt so right, so natural, and fun, I walked into my wardrobe and this is what called out to me, channeling my inner 80's style child, Calvin Harris says it best, "I've got love for you if were born in the 80's!", oh and I do!
Desperately seeking style, fun and individuality.

LOOKBOOK.nu: "Urban battlefields of fashion " by Carly Leverett

Clucky for Clogs

I love that fashion can exist without rules, and that just because something is old, it is never out of fashion or less stylish. So I thought I'd resurrect the flower power inside me and bring it all to life, and express my inner hippie. It wasn't hard, and I think it looks fab, and you can do it too. Clogs are huge right now, I see them everywhere I go, but they can be wasted with a bad outfit, because people aren't sure how to style them, all it takes is a good look back in time, and it all comes together. Get inspired like I did from The Runaways, and don't ever be afraid to go there!
(Above: Sportsgirl -Black turban, black knee highs, tan clogs, white vintage top. Dotti - Denim Waist-coat. Op-shop - floral skirt.)
(Below: From Left: Sportsigrl - poppy dress, tan belt, black turban, knee high socks, sunglasses, and clogs. Pony & the Seal - Teapot necklace. As above. Op-shop - faux fur, printed top. Pierre Cardin - glow mesh bag. Sport
sgirl - flairs, clogs. Pony & the Seal - cassette ring. Op-shop - jumper. Cotton On - shorts.) To get that 70s look all it takes is a pair of clogs, a rope headband/turban over long locks, a bad-ass pair of flairs or thigh high socks, and bold print that brings the flower power baby yeah!
(Sportsgirl Tan Clogs, Pierre Cardin Glow Mesh Bag.)

The Runaways

Channel your inner hippie star child, and rock it like Pony & the Seal.
Peace Out!
